PROJECT RATIONALE:
More than 800 residents of 278 households live in the Shar Dov district of Javkhlant Bagh of Khanbogd soum, and their electrical power use is limited and unreliable due to malfunctions of existing power grid.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE:
The main purpose of this project is to improve the living conditions of the residents and mitigate risk of people’s lives and properties that can be caused by malfunction or failure of power grids.

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION:

• The funding of Khanbogd soum power line extension project was approved by the resolution No7 of the Fund Board of Gobi Oyu DSF on June 26, 2019.
• The contractor Khuyag erchim LLC completed the project work within the contractual period and handed over to the state commission.

OUTCOMES:

• About 5500 residents of the soum center will have improved living and working conditions.
• People’s lives, properties and environment will be protected from damage due to malfunction of power source.
